My car started have trouble and was going to need major repair work and as I do Home Heath which requires me to go 30 -100 miles a day I need reliable trans. So My Husband and I went to trade in the car and you know how that is in the states you're there for hours, we'll on our second day back to finialized the finnacial arrangement and get the car. Before I left I talk with the big boss about them needing a Clown to enterain as people have to be there so long. He agreed and Has already called to set up dates. For me this big because I'm usully the birthday, festival , church clown; first timeI approach a company[ and is was spur of the moment] but hey It worked. :D :D :D

Years ago my dad gave me a valid tip and applied it to a girl I was afraid to ask out.--"If you don't make calls, you don't make sales." Same with clowning jobs, Don't be afrais to go asfter them. It never hurts to ask, and the worst they can do is say no.

OH Sapphire how great! I'm so happy for you! Bump a nose! I have a gig lined up too for March it will probably be my first gig! It's a children's birtday party! I'm so excited!! I know it's pretty far off but as I've said before, I'm learning and pulling Panetta together still!

Lemon jokes. But they might not be welcome.

find a steering wheel cover or seat cover and walk around saying your looking for a car to match it. or a car sterio and say your lookin for a new car that will make the sterio sound better cause it didnt work in your other car and you are sure it was the cars fault

Make sure when you look at the compacts that you comment about how many clowns you could fit in it.

You could always walk around with a steering wheel asking if you can test drive another!

ooh thanks,

I found a tire in the doggy section "We've got the coolest wheels" and "I tired". And I'm making a bottle of "Spring" water as the dealers have thirsty work" [it's a slinky glued into a bottle of spring water]
I just bought a steering wheel cover to protect my new car It's stiff enough I can use it as a steering wheel I think. Great Ideas.....keep em coming. Thanks.

i think walmart or some of the other stores sell steering wheel covers with cardboard in them that look like steering wheels or you could make your own to put the cover around

Sue,
It sounds like we have some great ideas coming forward! I think I would stay away from the lemon jokes too. I mean, you are there to help them sell the cars! Grin.
You could also ask if they have a car with lots of FEET ROOM and hold up your clown shoes!
Then you could buy a bicycle horn and ask if they have a car that sounds like this.
Congrats on this new gig!

I've seen in some novelty stores and in a couple of these seasonal Halloween stores, a very large suction cup, wind-up key. Tell them that's the key to there new car!

Well, here I sit after 12 hours in clown makeup. Just wanted to thank every one again, the steerring wheel when over real well. I think every thing was successful. I also had a western theme carnival this evening. I've twisted so many balloons my finger tips are sore close to two hundred, broke one pump, but thank goodness I packed a spare. Thanks again

Hope they give you the green one on this....

Light that is, not pickle.....they do serve pickles there, don't they?

Chick Fil A is a good one that I hadn't thought about. I went to one of regular "haunts" today and my daughter was interested in them making birthday cakes. I thought, " this would be so cool, make balloons right here, and as mom and dad who ordered the cake would stop by to pick it up, maybe they'd at least ask me how much for a clown?

Hmmm...don't know....how much for a clown? How much you got? :)

There is a bakery near my house that let me put up a poster and leave cards in return Ilet people know where to get cakes
This has worked out good for both of us
