Check you local public Library. If you read other posts you will find the basic books to get you started!
Creative Clowning by Tony Blanco and Bruce Fife
Strutters guide to makeup by Jim Roberts
Be a Clown by Turk Pipin
Be a clown by Mark Soltzberg
There are many other books to help you learn how the clown got to where he is today. We are here to help you, and glad to answer any questions So Park you trunk in the corner, pull up a stool, and help yourself to the buffet!

Hiya Hiya Hiya Clara! (big big big wave and shake, not necessarily in that order)

Ditto to Scruffy's advice on the books. They help to direct your motivation in a positive manner, and give you a good foundation from which to start.

Hold on tight though....this boat swings alot to the left and right! :)

Clara,
I agree that finding a mentor would be great. If you don't know any clowns in your area, search the web for an alley near you. Most of them will allow you to come and learn there. Alleys that I am involved with meet on a monthly basis.
Also, this forum has listings of events and trainings, so look for one in your area.
Bump a nose and welcome!

Hi Clara

Welcome aboard and glad to meet you...

Like others.. I suggest you to find a clown mentor near by to help you to discover your clown... Or try to do some camps (like Mooseburguer or La Crosse)... It's helpful too...

However, if you can't any of this possibilities... Buy some books that was recommended for you and try to discover yourself.

Hugs, hugs, and hugs... from a foreign friend
