Hi guys,

I purchased a fedora hat for my tramp character. It's a size 6 7/8 when my real size is 7 3/8. The small hat rests on my head but feels as if it wants to fall off. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to make the hat stay on your head.

You didn't mention if you wear a wig or not. If you do, you could try hair pins or, even more secure, safety pins! Just make sure that whatever you use to secure the hat is well hidden.

If you don't wear a wig you could try a velcro headband.

You might try a thin cloth covered elastic band. If you wear it forward on your head, you can put the band across the back of your head and hide it in your hair.

Bohh,
You might try contacting a dry cleaner and see if it can be stretched. I had a thought while I was re reading this. That about velcro, it migt grab your hair just enough to keep it on. you also might try hot gluing some little tabs that stick out so you can hair pin it under the brim.
also, If you live near a large city, there may be a cleaner that can do hats. They may be able to steam the hat and stretch it out.

Past that....Staple gun?
