Well, things went pretty well for BIPS in his clown getup.
I added a HUGE bandanna to my geup in place of the tie, and it worked well.
I had one child that asked me if I was a professional! The child couldn't have been more than seven years old, and I almost lost it. I laughed, composed myself, and told him:
"Professional what? I like making Balloons for you guys, if that's what you mean..."
I have quite a few balloons left over I already told the organizer of the event that would take off their hands. I've got my usual pizza place scheduled for tonight, so I should get some good tips.
This is the first time I've flown solo and used the Qualatex in heavy quanity, making over 100 balloons for the kids in little over an hour, and I can see why artists prefer these. There was several instances I thought that the balloon would pop for sure, and it didn't! :)

glad it went well for you . hey next time a kid ask you if you are a profesional ask him if he is a real kid. then go on about how big he is and that he must be just playing a kid. ive done that before and it seems to work.

Brilliant Bip. So glad it went well for you. I don't know what I am doing wrong but I don't get any tips at Pizza Hut. But then English culture is often tight where tips are concerned.

More likely the people you entertain versus your act. I got less last week than the time before, but you use never know. It always enough to cover for the balloons and gas, but it's nice when it's more.
I have a HUGE button I wear on my tie, right over my heart, so it's hard to miss.
It says: BIPS LOVES TIPS!
It's catchy, and seems to get most everyone's attention. I also have it double on my outfits I wear that I don't use the tie. This weekend, since I'm off, I'm going to work on making another tie and acceessories with my name on it that I can use interchangably with many of my outfits.
My wardobe number is currently three, but I keep shopping the Goodwills.
Right now I'm looking for green, mainly pants, hoping to combine some of my red attire with green to be colorful for Christmas!

Gilbert,
Curious about the tip thing. Does Busking go over well? Have a button made that says "Busking is my business!" maybe they'll get the hint.
Bubba sells one that says tips are okeydokey! I've thought about getting that one when my ship comes in.

Actually I don't think a badge would go down well over here. We do have buskers around town but in the restaurant it is not the done thing to invite tips. However I do get paid the same hourly rate I get when I am delivering their pizzas.
I do get the occasional tip, but it is usually given to the waitress to give to me. I have a feeling many of our waitresses are not very honest in such matters because any tips I get always come through the same two people. This combined with the fact that the English are notoriously bad tippers means that very few tips come my way.
We have an American lady who was a waitress before coming to England with her husband. She is disgusted with the lack of tips received in our restaurant. By UK standards I think our tips are about average.

I used to Delver pizza, Gilbert. If nothing else think of the money you are saving in Petrol. But I know the real money was made in tips.

not over here scruffy I probably get the most tips because I am the most experienced rider. Even I can only manage to get about 2-3%. In the restaurant they tend to do better at about 5-8%. That is unless you are a clown
