I live in Chicago, and I am looking for anyone that might know where I can go in this area to start learning how to clown.

Welcome Juju! I would check out moosecamp,. or the university of Wisconsin. They offer some.

There are also books and videos.
Make yerself at home!

welcome JuJu there are tons of books out there one of the better ones is clown omnibus. you can find books on line in many of the clown supplie sites or at your local library.

Welcome JuJu glad to make your aquaintanances! :) You'll enjoy it here! We have a blast! I'm a newbie clown too and have learned so much from the "seasoned" clowns here!

The only question that this forum cant answer is the one you dont ask
Check out coai.com or wca .com to see if ther is an alley near you They are great places to learn and a lot do charity work so you can get your big feet wet

Yes, Go to oyur library and see what they have on clowning. By the time you get through the books and research all the names netioned in the books, you may find you don't need to go to the expensive camps.
But I would any way. WHere else can you go and feel completely comfy in your clown shoes!

Thank you all for the great advice and the great welcome. I am looking into buying some books to start. I am one of those weird people that need's a class so I can be told I am doing it right. So I am looking for classes here in Chicago, and will probably go to a camp this coming summer. Thanks again for all the advice :D
