Jobee, as I recall you work in P.T. I am looking for some large foam shapes. Any ideas?

I've been thinking about the foam rolling pin thing :D

hey scruffy ive been thinkin about maken some but i need to get a dremel tool i think that would work best at least for the detail work on the foam. but i dont think it would be very hard to make what you need. i know some of the stores around here carry foam of different densities.

Keep in mind that you can make a lot of things from those
"noodles" that they sell these days for swimming floaties.

they can be hot-glued together and carved with
an electric carving knife.

Well try to carve it with an electric carving knife, or you
might try a hot electric rope-cutter (which is a blade that
is heated via electricy used when cutting and melting the
ends of nylon rope)

I've seen a few items made from these inexpensive foam pieces

It might come to that. Hmmm, I haven't checked there for a job yet. Maybe I could get a better price on my prop material.

Don't forget about upholstery shops. They sell foam. Some probably have the "roll" pillows. I don't think it's very expensive. Also try Jo-Ann's sewing and craft store, Hobby Lobby.

Great idea. I 'vei taken to driving by the side of the road looking for usable couch cushions. They are good sources for cheap foam.
