I tell you what, getting the basic website is starting to pay off....

I got a call Saturday from a local BBQ Smokehouse place. The operations manager saw my website and called for rates, and I gave him a quote. He's got a friend's party for the 27th that he wants to surprise. He also said that he's the manager of their catering part of the business, and hopes to do some business with me in the future also! I tell ya....it made my day...

I'm supposed to get more details from him today later when he calls back, but the way he talked about his friend, it sounded like this might be a surprise for an adult instead of kids.

I've never done an adult party. Any of you guys have suggestions?

I work with both adults and kids in my church and I don't change much because it is harder to please kids than adults. If it works with the real kids then the big (grown up) kids will love it too. Having said that, I do find that with adults your scope is widened because you can include some gags that are a little more subtle.

sounds great bips. i have found adults easier to make laugh than kids alot of the time they tend to get the gag a little quicker especialy if you have a large crowd like at a rodeo.

Bips that sounds great. There are also routines that are funnier for Adults than children too. especially if it's for a retirement party, thing like that, congrat.

Way to go Bips. A website is a "MUST" now-a-days.

I hope things work out for the best with ya.

Yahoo! Congratulations! How exciting. You be sure to let us know what kinda act you decide on and how it goes. This is just so great!

Welllll....the guy never called me back...

I tried to call him Friday for Saturday confirmation, but I ended up leaving a message, and no callback.

Life goes on...

That's too bad!! I don't know why folks don't return calls. It can be quite frustrating. Maybe something happened that kept him from calling you back and he'll reschedule something.

That's what I'm hoping....(fingers crossed)

Even if he doesn't, I have a clown party to look forward to tonight with a special visit Old Nick himself! I'm bringing my 6 year old daughter and camera, and I should be able to upload the pictures later this week for everyone to see...
