Pulls out a banana and puts it to his ear. "Hello! You don't say. You don't say!"

"Who was that?"

"He didn't say."

I felt that was an important joke to mention here. IMPORTANT! But yeah I have seen them at Toys R Us. Also check online for plastic fruit!

I believe they have them at Hobby Hobby stores. You might also check Michael's craft stores.

That is where I usually see them Scruff. You might also check at Wal-mart in the craft section.

Michaels has all kinds of fake fruit and veges. Walmart too. But the Dollar Tree (our local dollar store) has them for ... you guessed it...$1!

I used to see stuff like that at Zany Brainy. It was a "smart toy" toy store where I used to live.

You lived in a toy store? That must have been fun! No wonder you turned out like you did.

I'll check out the hobby stores (hard to find in the city, actually, for some reason) - as opposed to the old fashioned "hobby shops." Dollar Tree... now there's an interesting thought (and easier to find.) I've found a lot of fruit around here (plastic and otherwise), but no bananas, for some reason, thus far.

I wish I lived in a toy store I would never get to work.

To clarify: I used to live in Durham NC, one city in which Zany Brainy was located. I do not know if that store is still open, or if they exist at all.

I hope that makes things clearer. I think the reason I turned out this way is genetic, although Snickers is hoping and praying that I'm wrong...

I much prefer the idea of actually living in the toy store! Kinda like Tom Hanks in BIG... How fun would that be to be able to hop on the giant piano all day!

Who wants to play "Chopsticks" with me!!!

the trick with hobby hobby is to join their Email list. every week they will send you a coupon by email. Often, it is for 40% off any one item! Today we went to Hobby Lobby (Sassy calls it "Mecca") and bought craft paints for 25% off. You just have to watch the flyers at both places. You can find great deals from both places.

Hobby Lobby... now there's a store I          !!!

I've even picked up balloons from there. You can grab a bag there pretty cheap & get in some good practice. But I wouldn't give them to anyone. They pop too easy.

Curiosity: why do you want bananas? or did I miss that? And did you ever find them?

I found some which are good quality (though a bit pricey and bigger than I would like) at Jo Ann Fabric. But I'm still open to finding something more suitable.

I have a couple of bits which I do for parties that include producing a banana out of a bag. I had been using REAL ones!

For those of you that think living in a toy atore would be fun. Get a job as a manager at your local Toys R Us. You will soon learn that
A. SATAN owns Toys R US
B. What looked fun is NOT
C. Man those toys are CRAP
D. WHY DID I COME HERE
E. You do not want to know what the employees are doing with other in the play area after hours

That job was a night mare. For those of you that have small kids DO NOT let them go in those play areas with out you!!! I have found Feces, Vomit, Hypodermic Needles in our Toys R Us Store. They NEVER clean it ( Just take windex and clean up the pee. My wife worked at a Video Game Place called River Fair it was located in the River Falls Mall in Clarksville IN she found all of the above plus Razor Blades, Knifes, and a SNAKE

Your Toys R Us has a playground??

Speaking of playgrounds, this reminded me of when we went to Texas around Christmas. We were so pleasantly surprised to find that the Sonic's down there has huge playgrounds. And it seems there was one on every corner. I counted more Sonics than McDonalds!! My kids loved it, then we had to come home. :(

Theatrical Supply business's offer varying lines of supplies. While working as a grip at assistance league playhouses in the Los Angeles area I was often sent to pick up costumes and scenery. If you have ever been to one of these places you will recall that they have everything from "soup to nuts" including "faux fruit"
