I'm so excited! I got some more books from LaRock's today. I now have all 5 books IN Ralph Dewey's Gospel Balloon Series. Very cool. I also have his "Dewey's balloon & Clown Notebook". And I got all 6 for under $8 each from LaRocks Fun and Magic Outlet (http://www.larocksmagic.com)

Also wanted to share with y'all what I have planned this weekend. My fellow clowns from church are getting together at my new house for a fellowship lunch followed by a balloon workshop which I will be leading... sort of. I'm still fairly new to twisting but have picked up pretty quickly. So I plan to share what I've learned thus far with the others. And definitely will give a HUGE shout-out to Clown-Forum! I'm hoping to get all the GTO members on here before too long.

Anyways, if anyone has any suggestions for our workshop Saturday, I'm open! I know we'll be looking at several videos online & I'm sure I'll pull up this site to find some instructions as well.

Have a blast

OK. so we didn't end up accomplishing as much as I'd hoped at the "worshop" portion of our afternoon. But we had a blast just getting together for lunch & playing with balloons. I ended up having to babysit my cousins that afternoon in addition to the 1 kid that's part of our ministry. So we had 4 kids running around all afternoon. But everyone had a great time & we did make some progress with balloons. I really need to focus on some of the more simple stuff so I'll be ready if the clowns get to go play at Chic-Fil-A soon.

Oh, did I forget to mention that? We went out to our local CFA for supper the other night. While there I talked with the manager about our clowns coming out one Saturday. Unfortunately it was his last day & a new manager was coming in the next day. I left my name & # but haven't heard back yet. That was just this past Wednesday. I'm giving him a week or so to get into the swing of things & if I don't hear from him by the end of this week I'll try to call back. I'll update on that when I talk to him.
