Our city had it's annual Parade of Lights during the Christmas season, and I was lucky enough to get to participate.

My daughter's school had a float, and she got to ride and wave to the audience as we drove by. I saw her at the beginning, but I walked behind the float, entertaining everyone with my Christmas puppet dog Rudy, cheering Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

I even worked the crowd into a frenzy when I had a cheering contest going between the left and right sides. Have to remember that for next time, because it worked really well.

I tried the loose cow routine and changed it to loose reindeer, but the float was going just too darn fast for it to be effective, so I gave up on it early on.

The local cable company was there, Comcast, and got several good shots of me while I " paraded " about. I need to call them to see how I would go about getting a copy of the parade tape. Anyone have any ideas on that?

it was probably there news department that did the shooting ya might want to call them and ask. most places will charge you a little bit for the tape but its not more than 20 bucks.

Fancy that - WE had our annual Christmas parade this past weekend. It was a blast!

I did the shoe shine (via flashlight) gag, and gave out foam clown noses at intervals.
My friend Radio did the balloon give-away with the break-away string gag - pretend
to give someone a balloon but all they come away with is the string... He also gave
away "fresh-picked" noses, picked just for you."

I hope I'll have some soon of the parade, as I didn't bring my camera, and I've contacted the organizer who who has put the word out. Parades I think may be my favorite thing so far, although I really enjoy it all.

We had a blast! And that's because the crowd had a blast.

I had a lot of kids saying "That's the clown that came to my school!"

I loved the way my tiny santa hat worked out. Used nose glue to
fasten it on my bald head. I tell everyone I used hot glue =)

We "hired" Radio's daughter's boyfriend who is into photography
and he walked along beside us taking pictures with his camera
and with mine.

I think we bought the film, paid for the processing and gave
him like $20.00 to help us out and he was glad to do it.

Nothing like having your own strolling publicity photographer!
