I'm going to try and link a picture here off of photobucket. Fingers crossed.

All went well; it was a very small turnout, which worked out fine for my first time in public and twisting a few balloons. I took "doggonne" my invisible dog, and handed out Jesus Loves You and I Met a Clown Today stickers. And Dum Dums. I only stayed an hour before the thing ended, but that worked out too. I guess it was the stress of my first time, but I'm exhausted!

Thanks to everyone here who cyberly (is that a word? It is now!) held my hand throughout all of it. You all are a blessing to me. PS, I know the balloon hat is just awful, but she loved it nonetheless.

It all sounds perfect. And you can expect to be that wiped out every time. Just part of the clown thing.

You look awesome, and the your balloons will steadily improve with lots and lots of practice. If the kids love it, then that's what we aim for. Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing your first time with us!!!!

We are glad to be a part of it!!!!!!

thanks, Luna! And good luck to you (bump a nose) this weekend! You are brave! I don't think I could ever do a birthday party. The sum of my talents (so far) is handing out stickers and lollipops! LOL
I know a few knock-knock jokes, but I don't think that would satisfy 25 kids hyper on sugar!

Hi Pinky,

I have Windows Vista, I don't know if that makes a difference- but I do know there are certain online video games that aren't compatible yet, so I'll tell you how I did it and if it doesn't work for you and you don't have Vista that could be the story...

I went to your weblink and hit left- click, then highlighted "copy"; then closed the link, returning me back to the clown forum. I opened up a reply box, hit paste, and there it was...

Good luck,
applegirl

Pinky you are precious! And I love the hat! Hats are my favorite because you can almost never mess them up. At the carnival we did we ended up putting everything on hats! We used 1 balloon for the base - fully inflated, burped to soften & tied. twist a small bubble, wrap it around the child's head, twist it together & leave the rest standing straight up. Then you can attach a dog, a flower, an airplane, a monkey... the list is endless. Or flip that extra piece over the head & attach it at the back to make a helmet. Then just start attaching other balloons to the top, sides, front or back (this is where rounds & hearts come in handy).

Thanks so much. I could only do it with the support of this caring online clown community (and prayers). I did bid on and won an auction on Ebay for a DVD called "hat attack". I can't wait until it comes...it's nothing but hats. I know all kids like them (the big ones and the small ones!). I never would have thought of adding the animals, that's a great idea! Hugs and Mugs,

Girl, yeah! You can put anything on a hat! Hey, if you have good internet connection, go to Videos on ExpertVillage.com | How to videos, free video clips & more (http://www.expertvillage.com) & search "balloon twisting" - you don't have to be a member or log in - This search pulls up like 4 options. The 2nd & 3rd ones are ok, but the 1st & 4th are my favorites with "Malik Haddadi" or "Malik the Magic Guy". He even has a couple on there about making hats.

Again, you come thru as such a blessing! I will definitely be visiting that site. I can't wait to learn all that...just hope my addled brain can retain it. I think about those older puppies (like me) learning those new tricks (like puppy balloons!) LOL

This forum is truly a Godsend, I agree. Good luck on your "career" and let me know how it goes. We newbies can even learn from each other! :)
