Hi

I am a drama teacher and this year we are embarking on performing a circus like show as our school production, and my yr 10's are going to be clowns. I was wondering if real clowns out there could give me some pointers and also share what you feel are the essential skills you need to be a clown.

I must say I am having as much fun as the kids so far in attending circus workshops and writing the script.

Any help would be great

I recomend a book called Creative Clowning. It is what I use to teach all of my students. You can find it for sale online.

Have Fun.

I would stop by the Library and take out a few books. One you might look for is So You Want To Be A Clown. You can find a lot of good books in the childrens section. If You can bring the children it will be fun for them to find the information.
