So I recently learned the two balloon T-Rex, and it's a big hit. I converted it into a dragon by giving it a longer neck. Any ideas for dragon looking wings that would be simple (one or two balloons)?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Lilly_A_Clown 04-17-2008, 02:12 PM I have always done my wings for a dragon with a 160 and just shaping them for the wings I have also played with putting ear twists one on the top of the wing and three on the bottom and just conecting it to the neck. I dont know if that helps Snickers the Clown 04-17-2008, 05:38 PM I usually pump a balloon to about 6 inches empty on the end. Put the ends of the balloon together(in the shape of an O), and twist so you end up with a figure 8 with a little "tail" in the middle. Use the tail to tie the wings on the back where the arms, neck, and body come together. Voila! A dragon! :D Scruffy 04-17-2008, 08:04 PM Easiest way I know is to make them triangular. You have to put and ear twist at each of the three corners. It makes a pretty good looking set of wings. Then, working with one balloon at a time, made a 3in. bubble, folllowed by a 1in. eartwist. Then I make another 3in. bubble and another eartwist(this one is optional). after that I make about 4 or 5 one inch bubble all in a row and attach the last one back to the tied nozzles. so the overall look is one of a triangle with one side being made up of lots of small bubbles. Then, Just repeat this with the other balloon, and attatch them to ur figure. Sw33tiePie 10-07-2008, 10:29 PM I own a book called Ultimate Balloon Book. There's a nice 3-balloon Dragon.. just like the Dragon in blue (done by a fellow twister in the other forum) ... There's also a link on Dragon with wings on Professor Wonder's webbie Make a Balloon Animal (http://www.professorwonder.com/balloon6.htm) And here's the instruction link to a Little Cute Dragon By Sean McDaniel Cute Little Dragon (http://www.balloon-animals.com/forum/index.php?topic=420.0) Hope this helps "Tilly - Formerly known as Punky" 10-10-2008, 06:03 AM omg! I have that book and I love it! I actually made that dragon for competition at the MWCA convention (while making a few of my own modifications), and did really well. It's a really great balloon book for any level of twisting skill. Scruffy 10-10-2008, 08:07 AM Ditto on the book. The dragon was the reason I bought it! SCOOP 01-26-2009, 08:41 AM i just make a figure 8 then shape it by squeezing it so the top of the wings are longer then the bottom seems to make anice effect for me but instead of the t-rex i make my dragon from a stegasorous OkiDoki 01-26-2009, 01:47 PM Yep got that book translated in Dutch. Really recomend this to everyone. Just took it of the bookshelf and noticed that quiet a few of my standards come out of this book. Like the one balloon horse, a two balloon dragonfly, this dragon, a two balloon scorpio, a simple one balloon gitar and an one balloon motorcycle. Also the pig,cat and airplane are like how I use to make them. A book with simple effective good looking lineworking balloonmodels. |
