Krissy -

Juggling would be a clown skill, and is usually one of many skills
a clown would cultivate.

To do a comedy routine is harder than doing just a "straight"
routine - you need to be just as skillful, if not more so, as the
juggler just doing a regular juggling act. That's because you
need to do the juggling while adding in comedy - whether it's
eating the apple as you juggle an apple, orange and egg, or
juggling while on a unicycle.

The same holds true for most any skill - learn to do it WELL
and then add in the comedy.

To me, just about any type of clown could be a juggling clown,
and it helps to have some skills in juggling, balloons, simple magic,
etc. Also, spend a LOT of time learning improv - making up
routines or pretending something is something that it isn't.

My friend and I used a swim "noodle" - one of those long foam
things marketed to be a swim toy. We passed it back and forth
and each of us had to turn it into something. My favorite was
to pretend I was walking a tight rope, and it was the balance beam
that tightrope walkers use. Or it was a baseball bat. Or...
Use your imagination with just about any item and you can come up
with ideas. The more you try this, the easier it gets, and this
improv is a huge benefit to your clowning and clown personality.

Hey-Low Krissy.

I agree. Juggling has always been in conection with jesters and clowns so I guess all juggling is thought off with a clown. Keep juggling! :D

Never too young. In fact, most skills in life are easier to
learn while you are young, as opposed to waiting until later
in life.

I'm sure I could have learned to ride a unicycle back in my
younger days. Now, I probably can but it will be harder and
my risk of injury will be substantially increased.

I'm not _that_ old, am I?

Hey there Krissie, glad to type to some new eyes! :)

Clowns are ageless, and juggling is varied. Just practice, and I'm sure you'll do well.
