Hi clownies - Skiddles here,

Does anybody have any favorite magic boxes that you use for your magic shows? I have a nice big old steamer trunk with wheels on the bottom to tote it around and the inside has drawers. HOWEVER it is soo heavy.

What do you use? Any ideas?

You're talking about what we haul our stuff in to parties, right?

I have one of those pro suitcase tables. It's on wheels and not really heavy. You lift up the top part so you can use it as a table for your magic shows. The only thing that drives me nuts is that the top shelf always falls down during transport. Other than that, it's worked out pretty well.

Thanks Pickles,

If you are handy with the computer could you pretty please post a picture or sketch of it? Did you make it or buy it?

Me? Handy with the computer? Just ask any clown how long it took me to figure out the avatar for the chat room! lol!

I'll see if I can enlist one of my techno-whiz children to do it for me.

I bought the case, I think at Daytona Magic during one of their 30 percent off sales.

Skiddles: It's something like this, but I know I didn't spend that much:

A friend on mine uses a leather doctor bag with an attachment for a Eureka Table. I'm considering switching to this for my hobo, as the look fits well.
I also prefer case tables myself for my magic stuff. For balloon supplies, larger magic tricks, and general storage - I use a table similar to the one Charles "Chaz" Misenheimer uses. You can see it by clicking on the link below, and scrolling down to "Strolling Magic at the Zoo."

For years I've used one of those plastic 3 drawer roller carts.

Comes with wheels, although I took out them out and attached a board for reinforcement across the bottom and screwed in bigger/better coasters.

Next, screwed in a drawer handle on the front, I pull the thing along with that.

I found a cart with locks on the drawers from Target. Have never seen one like it again.

The cart I prefer has 3 drawers. Top drawer for facepaints, middle drawer has foamboard particians for balloons.

The bottom drawer is for misc. items and magic show throw-offs.
I bungee on the surface my magic suitcase.

I love my "kit" it is very accomodating for my needs. I made sure the facepainting case fits well. I'll never change, although the plastic carts crack. NOw it's ducked taped on the corners. Can't find another one with locks. I really do love it and it's not too heavy for me.

how do you keep your magic from being seen through the clear plastic

Most of it stays in my magic suitcase on top which is not see thru. The part that may go into the bottom throw off drawer, is such a modge podge of mess, they really can't tell which end is up. Things I know if they see it will be a giveaway-it deffinitly goes in the magic box. -Like the paper tears for instance.

This is what I carry my dove pan stuff in (the top two sections) ... and the bottom part is for other stuff. It's really nice. I bought it originally for my face paint stuff, but it wasn't convenient for the face paints because of size, etc. so I put my dove pan stuff in there, and the bottom can hold balloons, other magic stuff, music or whatever else I am doing.

I use an old old old leather suite case, and a projector stand that is collapsible and breaks down to set it on…… and a legs table from 1960’s that front legs are gimmicked so it creates the entertainer in trouble effect, then hit a button and a pair of women’s legs falls out to support unit…. And it all has to fit on motorcycle……. PACK SMALL…play big
