Alright, this is my first post on this forum, so go easy on me. I saw a guy clown around on a juggling video that made me laugh so hard I teared up. His name was Paul Morocco and he's supposedly won awards.

I don't know much about clowning, but I really want to learn how to create these kind of antics, without all the traditional makeup and costumes. I'm an award-winning magician, but I've decided my act needs more levity. I love situational comedy. So I want to learn how to think more like a clown, while peforming magic in business attire. I'm trying to find out where to start on this path of learning.

Any help would be appreciated. I'd also love to know where I can see more of Paul Morocco. The guy is unreal.

Well, I don't know. I would say modern european. No makeup,no attempt to hide humanity. Kind of a cross between the three stooges, and monte python's flying circus. I found a video clip of him. He skills arevery impressive:like the blue man group.
this is doable. but will take a lot of work on your behalf. I'd suggest watching a lot of silent movies to learn slapstick. Heck, even the movies airplane! or top secret. Both have a lot of sight gags in them. He seems to be the type to turn ennagaddadavida into an operatic aria.
He's definitely european. That is the type of stuff to study. Also. in the 1860's there was a popular clown?commedian named Yankee Dan Rice. a favorite of president Lincoln. If fact our national symbol; Uncle Sam,is based on Dan Rice.
