Hi all, im new to this clowning lark.

What I want to know is how to make a good, safe custard pie.
I intend to throw it as hard as I can into a fellow clowns face but I dont want to smash his conk to bits. Is there a recipe that will result in the required weightiness for full impact, yet still retaining a soft crust to avoid pastry related shrapnel wounds?

And before you suggest it, I dont want to resort to a paper plate and whipped cream - this is serious pie action for a mature audience.

Honk honk + cheers

Easiest way,if you want a real pie is a ready made graham crust and box mix banana pudding (Yank style) . Add some whipped cream. In hot weather, It's best to use canned shaving foam. won't turn to liquid in hot weather. For a pie fight, whipped soap is the easiest and cheapest. But for the one off, the banana cram as described above is at least edible.
Good luck, and may your aim be true.
