View Full Version : Needing a good clown name
mamma 03-15-2005, 04:21 PM Bump, bump all! I am in need of a good clown name, can anyone help? I have gone through nicknames which are just not suitable for clowning names. My clown costume is just a really cute one and I can't even come up with a good name! Help! :P
RedClownFred 03-15-2005, 05:38 PM That is hard to say without a visual. Your profile did not even identify your gender. If you are a female (an assumption from the word "mamma") how about: Dimples, Trixxy, Jolly, Cheery, Perky, Pansy, Blossom, Daisy, Tickle, Whimsy, or Witty...to name a few alternative names. Good Luck! Red Clown Fred - www.clownconceptual.com
Scruffy 03-15-2005, 06:17 PM If you can post pictures, why not let some of the members offfer suggestions? You never know. The name you hear maybe your new one!
Names can be hard things to pick. When I started as an auguste, I never liked my name (Rusty). 20 years later, I guess it doesn't bother me anymore. DOn't be afraid of duplicating a name, or altering slightly. Sapphire sue made a great point in a previous post. I've met a few people with the same first name as me. what's the big deal about repeating a clown name?
Please, If you do offer suggestions; do so by PM.
Let us know what happens!
saphireSue 03-15-2005, 08:27 PM if you don't have a picture, describe your outfit and tell us about your personality, maybe we can suggest things, like are you perky, fiesty, adult clown, child clown, do you have a main color in your outfit ie pinky lee, blue belle, hanna banana, peachy. Mamma if older what about other nick names for mom or grandmother, nanna, maw, mee mee, ? hope this helps
Fliptheclown 03-30-2005, 09:17 AM Only advice I can offer on this subject that hasn't already been said is, pick something that the kids will be able to remember easily. Thats one reason I went with a short name. And when I started out, I picked 4 or 5 names and when I went to an event and a kid would ask my name, I would give each one a different name. It made it kind of fun, when the kids caught on to what I was doing.
Then you just judge by reactions which you think appeals to the kids.
Just a thought, you might want to try. :D

Walmoe1 05-27-2005, 01:40 PM I've recently changed my clown name from Walmoe (I was the Wal-Mart clown, but the one I'm at now is too "sophistocated" to have clowns) and I am now Wilmoe, My last name is Williams, what I'm getting at is that you might be able to base it on your real name.
