THe only thing I can do is face paint. Will they be satisfied? My dad always did balloons and my mom used the puppet and I painted butterflies and spiders on the kids. I'm gonna be the onlly clown there. Mum is millions of miles away. I don't know if I can even do my own make up.....but I want to be there for those kids ya know?

just face painting will probably be ok if they dont expected more but i would strongly consider learning the balloons and some magic tricks or something else that you are interested in to broaden your repetuar. and welcome to our little part of the web.

Welcome Hopscotch.

You can do it. It just takes moxy. Check the internet. there are a couple of places that will teach you how to apply makeup and how to tie balloons. THe main thing. Thanks! What would be a good web site that could teach me some basic balloon shapes? I have until the 30th to learn it.

A couple of good sites for balloons are
mbd2.com he has some instructions for simple balloons or go in to the balloon fourm and the people there will help
also professor wonder .com has some good instructions too

you could also play games\
one game for a large group most kids of all ages can play
Fruit basket turnover, [you can use colors instead
everyone has a seat but one they go around and give every a name [apple , peach , orange, pear, bananna etc]. then the person it calls outs two of them [apple and orange]
and every ones whos and apple and orange has to find another seat. person left out continues thte game. No one wins or loses, and can play as long as they are entertained with it.

Thanks alot. I put on my make-up yesterday to see if I could do it myself. MY daddy always did it for me. I think I need a little help. The mouth is what gave me a hard time. Do I put the white paint on my lips to and then go over it with the red crayon? Also I bought paints from snazroo.com My mom says they are really good and go on smooth, the ones I bought at the party store were very tuff and rubbery. Yuck. Any make up tips out there?

With some of the new makeup you can put the red over the white but I still remove the white it makes the red brighter I use a Q tip to do this
I also powder between colors
Putting on make up takes practice and as you get better at it you will find ways that are easier for you dont be afraid to try different ways and faces

Thanks so much! You helped jog my memory. I remember my dad doing that. It helps make the shape to because You can go bakc and add more white. I feel silly. Thanks again

I got some paints from Snazaroo to paint the kiddies faces with. White setting powder...I heard talcum powder causes respritory problems. I have my first gig tonight. I'm so nervous. I can't ever seem to get my lips to go right. I'm having a co worker help me draw them on tonight. Pray for me guys!
