Hi, My name is Naomi. I'm going out on my own as a clown in a couple of weeks. I usually did it with my mother and dad but since they are a million miles away I'm going to try it on my own. Anyways a little about me. I love kids. I can't wait to be a mommy but I'm only 21 so entertaining everyone elses seems like a good idea for me right now. I'm also thinking of going to down town Waikiki with table and see what happens. I'm am really intersted to learn the balloons. I gotta wait till next pay day though becasue I still don't have my costume made yet. My friends think I'm nuts but can't wait to see me. They all tell me I have the perfect car for the job...a bright green VW bug. Love it, it's my baby. Not much else to tell really. I don't really like circuses (sp) I don't like how said all the animals look. Hmm thats about it. Are there any clowns from Hawaii here?[/url]

yes, Welcme Scophotch! Er.. Hopscotch.
Yes, I'd say you have the perfect clown Car! It's sounds like you are ready to take the plunge! Please,do yourself a favour and get a good balloon pump. It is very hard to blow up the 260 Q balloons we make animals out of. To say nothing of the germs spread. A pump is inexpensive and will keep you from tiring easily.Snazaroo products are excellent for facepainting. and will suffice as makeup for now, If that is your intention. However, you should really look into Ben Nye or Mehron. It will wear better, and withstand the heat of Hawaii better.
You will do fine, and things you did with your Mum and Dad will come back to you. Just give them lots of love and have fun with them.
As far as the circus goes, Check out Cirque De soleil (SP?) They have no animal acts. At least here in the states, the circuses do a very good job taking care of their animals, In Fact, chech out ringling brothers elephant convervation program. They have sucsessfully bred many Asian elephants, a problemthat they have in the wild. Generally the cirus animals, are betterfed, cared for,and spoiled than their wild brethren
Anyway, Welcome! and please, we are glad to help you in any way we can.
Cheers!

Hehe! That is my clown name. That's why I used it as my screen name. I painted some hopscotch patterns for a local school here and decided it would be a cool name.

Alright HopScotch, another fellow clown west of the rockies! Welcome! How is clowning in Hawaii? Does it follow the same guidelines as on the mainland, or is their a little Hawaiian flair mixed in?
