Hello everyone - I recently received an anonymous email on my personal website email. It stated that I am "too hardcore" for the Clown Forum. 8O I was curious what the other members had to say about this. I believe that if the Clown Forum was set up for what it was intended to be, having a fellow clown express concerns about "real" issues in the world and how they may relate to clowning both personally and publicly, it would be appreciated by other members as an avenue for suggestions, input, and in some cases, constructive criticism!
So with your honest opinion, am I considered too hardcore for "CLOWN FORUM"? Despite having some different platforms than many other clowns, I always encourage serious assessments or interpretation from others and welcome all comments! Thanks for your time!

I think it was that your very first post was worded abit...strong as if you considered only clowns that abide by your code including your dress code were good and that every one else needed to be run out of town so to speak. I admit I seriously question your motives.
Then as I've read other post I don't think your as ridged as it first seemed and want to be more friendly and supportive. You come from a totally different enviroment from me. The only scarey clowns I see are those who don't know how to apply make up correctly, but their hearts in the right place and willing to learn.
I think your never to old to learn something new, and we can all help each other. To be honest I haven't quite made up my mind how I feel about you, but you wanted an opinion so I gave mine as best as I could.
I think we need to give each other more time. [btw it wasn't me I would have pm you directly]

Thanks Sapphire Sue! Appreciate the candor! As you can tell, I may be a little sensitve and defensive with certain type clowns. After my first encounter with a "bad" clown, I think I was put on their "evil" clown junk mail list! The more I was attacked, the more I could correlate their "clown" behavior with middle America's acceptance with the decline in morality of our country!
I know I am very outspoken politically, but I will not be politically correct to "fit in" or "be hip"! I strongly believe in my ideals, just as many others in the entertainment world are enamored for their biased (sometimes extreme) viewpoints! It is difficult to be on the opposite side of the (special agenda) main stream media. I one time had a nice article written by a reporter from a local newspaper about me and a charitable event I sponsored in Orange County! To my surprise, the article was scrapped last minute. Though they knew nothing of my political views or my website, I was told by the reporter that the editior nitched my article because the photographer heard me say I supported our President! (so when has it become ANTI-AMERICAN to say you support our President?) These times can be scary...unless you stay in a little bubble and entertain local children in a five mile radius from your home! Okay...like Scruffy says, time to climb down off my soapbox!
That aside, I believe my values in the area of clowning are ones of admiration, tradition, and respect! It is one of the last frontiers to make a positive impact on today's youth. But alas, "THEY" are trying to take that away too! I guess i just choose to be a lot more vocal in my opposition while other good-minded clown's stay silent and remain dormant! Thanks again for your response, I take EVERYTHING conveyed to me constructively! :) R.C.F.

I don't see anything wrong with bringing up issues and discussing them.I would have a problem with anyone who uses profanity and/or denigrates children in any way--but--it seems that discussions on serious topics should not be in the introduction section--emotional issues actually may scare some potential new member away..I think you're ok fred
