But what would you paint on said nose? Some form of comedy elephant perhaps?

Blossom,
No. If you want to you can paint the tip of your nose like a white face go for it. The large, oversize nose is traditional thought.

blossom--you have the right to do whatever you want. Your clown look is a highly personal thing based on what age groups you want to work with etc.of course you can paint on a nose instead of a big traditional one.
or,better yet--develop moe than one clown "look" depending on what your clients want.

If you want something unique check out nose tips, my daughter wears a small yellow flower on the end of her nose. Sue's wears a heart shaped nose tip. as well, but I've seen several different kinds as well as colors, and painting one on is fine. they also have flesh colored ones with a little colors. It what ever works best for you.

Blossom, Just look at us...do any of us follow a character type to a T? In fact, I'm so all-over-the-place I don't know what I am?!? I say whatever works for you, is the easiest, and ultimately what will be enjoyed by others is ALWAYS the right choice!

Thank you all so much! :D
Some one has to say it
You can pick your own nose
There is no rule on what kind of nose to have so just pick one that you like or just paint your real nose As lomg as you klook good it does not matter

We bought a bunch of foam noses - the split sponge ball type,
put them on stems and offered "One Dozen Noses -- Freshly Picked For You"
