Does anyone incorporate sign language into their routines? My daughters and I know (some) sign. Do you
go to schools for the deaf? How would your do skits? Thanks for your ideas.

Wow, MercyMe, I didn't realize we had THAT much in common. I just recently felt the Lord calling me into clown ministry and I have been studying sign language for the last year or so. I lived around Deaf people my whole life, but just started getting serious with the language.
From what I've seen, and it's limited, clown ministry to the Deaf can be tricky. You don't want to offend anyone by using too much gesturing and not enough signining. However, in a church setting, people can be more forgiving too. Smile.

How about that! My daughters and I have taken some sign language classes. We do some signing at church with songs we work up. I really enjoy signing.
I'd like to be able to do some signing as a clown. I'm hoping to get in touch with our sign instructor to find out how to do clown skits with sign in a way that deaf people will enjoy.
Keep us posted about your clowning experiences!!
