Greetings!
A few years ago, my sister and I decided to become clowns. We are in all of the parades around town, help with charity benefits, and other happenings around the community. We can can unicycle, juggle, twist balloons, face paint, and always have a rubber chicken on hand. :D Just recently, we were asked to come to a child's birthday party. We don't have a skit yet. This will be our first time doing a party, and being payed as clowns. Do any of you have any tips for a small birthday party?

Welcome Peebles!
Sounds like you have the makings of a great clown party all ready! If you need them really fast you might check out a book called clown act omibus. availible in a lot of Libraries. Some of our other clowns might have some easy skits they will share. I do magic at birthday parties, WHich is a reat thing. however, It can tax the budget to get started.
Please join us for chat on thursday evening we usually get on about 9 pm eastern.

You've got the making of a good party right there without skits. Depending on how long you plan to be at a party. But balloons, juggliing, riding on unicycle should take up quite a bit, and then face painting especially if you do full faces. Start with what you do then slowly add to it. I do several things, play games, balloon rockets are great, music and silly songs, some magic, balloons and face painting and magic, depends on age and time they want.

Oh wanted to add one simple skit for one clown is the artist skit, all you need is a couple of prepared poster boards and you include the B-kid and another person, One you paint a picture of U , [you know the best picture of U, you've ever seen etc.] then do the painted thumb. We add another element when we have more clowns, they make the b_kid pose in all different poses behind the painters back and the painter has to keep rearranging them until he shows off the thumb.
