Ok, I tried a butterfly on my youngest today as a practice for doing my oldest tomorrow with her fairy costume... now, take into consideration that this little one is 2 years old and WIGGLES like crazy!!! I'm not totally happy with the shape of the butterfly and it's not quite symmetrical, but not a bad first try if I do say so myself.

Good job Noia. That's for the butterfly painting, and the cutie pie you painted it on.

I managed to convince them both onto my face painting stool tonight after supper! So here's another butterfly and a tiger... of course I'm limited to my white, pink and black as the only colours I own right now, but I think the pink tiger is pretty cute!

veryc cute... have you tried taking the small cakes of snazaroo.. cut into 1/3 .. buying at the cheap costmetic counter... eye shadow jar... put 1/3 or 3 colors into one eye shadow jar... .. then cut a circle sponge in half.... wet and wipe across the container... it can make the greatest looking butterflies on a face.

yeah, first try at this stuff today... as I mentioned in asking which colours to get, I think I'll be ok at this once I get started.... now I just need more colours and some better brushes/sponges.

When I get my xmas money from my parents, I think I'll order the 18 colour wheel from snazaroo.

Wow Noia, I missed this thread the first time around. The blending on the butterfly is great.

Hey Noai, you might want to add some white stripes alternating with the black stripes around the outer edges. It will balance out the muzzle, but tigers have white stripes too.

your tiger muzzle can be used for other animal faces too. Use your imagination, and you will see a muzzle for a bunny, kitty, and puppy too!
