My dog died today. . . I was at work and got a phone call that she was hit by a car. . . I haven't really stopped crying yet... I mean I do but then it hits me again... For over 2 years she slept between my legs, what am I going to do tonight... Its a horrible day when a happy clown can't keep the tears off his face. Her name was Olivia, she was a chocolate chihuahua, she was my best friend. I can't stop crying, she and I were going to go places together... My brother burried her outside my window. She will be with me always, I understand what this means now. . . I loved her more then anything in the world, sorry to be such a gloomer, its just I'm hurtting right now and wanted to share it...

I kow the feeling ,Wendell. I remember when I lost my dog. Even thought he was very old (Nearly sixteen) and in poor health , It doesn't make it any easier.
Our family is praying for you. I know it hurts. Remember the good times and that it is okay for clowns to cry too. :(

Our condolences. Pets become part of the family and it
is always sad to lose one.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. The same thing happened to me. It will be a year ago in July. As hard as it is to believe. It will get easier. The hurt will never go away but it will get easier, I promise. My dog Chi-Jen will be there in doggy heaven to take care of her and show her the ropes. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I know how you feel...My big baby - a Golden Retriever named Beaudreaux - was stolen almost two years ago, and I still miss him. I think about him every day, and catch myself looking out the door hoping he will be there.
AS I said then, there is a special corner of H--- for people who make clowns cry.

I'm very sorry Wendell! I'm sure most of us have gone through losing a beloved pet. I have a story for you: I lost my dog two months ago to a liver disorder. While transporting her to emergency, I cradled her in my arms while going into the hospital. Though she was out of it, her instinctive reaction was to bite when my face was too close to her. She locked onto my nose and I had to pry her mouth open. So now here I am trying to bring my dying beloved pet into the vets while blood is squirting from my nose. I had to leave her there and go to the "human" hospital for treatment. While there, the vets called me and and said she passed on.
Though I was very sad and cried for days, I remember the happy times together and her photos only bring me smiles. As for the dog bite, I look at it that she wanted to leave me with a " lasting impression "!
By the way, for those that might not be aware, when you receive a severe dog bite, they DO NOT STITCH because of the high rate of infection. My wounds would have required 13 stitches so instead I had to continually apply neosporine after laying still for the first day! It all turned out okay, and besides, my "Clown Nose" hides the scars!
God speed Wendell!
