Seeing all the wonderful artists on here with their coloring pages, I got to thinking about doing something special for any birthday kids that I may come across in the future.

I've always enjoyed writing, and have wanted to come out with a children's book for quite some time. I finally finished writing mine, and would like to turn it into a coloring book that I can give to the birthday kid, and possibly sell to the other kids at the party.

In it, I would like to include 20 pages of the story (Teemo Saves the Day), each page with a picture to color, mazes (Get Teemo to through Clownitsville), matching the clowns (6 clowns on one side, and 6 on the other), and a "What's different in these pictures" page.

What I'm thinking is possibly having one or more clowns from here as illustrators. So many of you do such wonderful work, and I'd love to feature some of you in the book. I can't really draw a straight line, so getting myself to illustrate it is definately out of the question.

I'd like to have one illustrator for the story itself. And then others to do the maze, the matching clowns, or anything else that might work. (Someone mentioned a love of "Connect the Dots" to me, so if anyone's good at that, let me know.)

That's a great idea, but keep in mind that there is * a lot * of work and expense involved to accomplish this goal. You might want to keep it to ten pages. The cost alone to print a 20 pager is hefty. Freelance illustration work can go anywhere from $50-$200+ per page, depending on the complexity of the page. Most clown-supported businesses charge $50 for one black and white coloring page. Food for thought.

Hmmmm...You have a good point. Jess (my fiance) would skin me alive if I tried to get the entire thing done in one shot.

Ooo, pick me pick me pick me!!

I'm a REALLY good artist. My specialty is trees. If you need references, just ask Pinky and/or Axe. They've witnessed my artistic finesse first-hand.

That's a very lovely horse you've drawn there. I like it.

She's just trying to fool you with that tree. Just look at her signature on the bottom. The brushstrokes of a prodigy. Pickles is a regular Rembrandt. You should see her toad drawrings...

That toad took me three days to create. Axe, I'm glad you recognize the artistry that was involved.
