it might taste like one also......
chatterstheclown 11-19-2008, 12:04 PM maybe a telescope?
That could totally be a big yellow tube!
No?
Maybe, a large yellow cylinder?
Hmmn...
Maybe a giant yellow pipe!
argh, I'm not very good at this...
Ok, how about an enormous yellow hose?
Or not.
Teemo 11-19-2008, 12:46 PM You could probably afix a rubber band across the top of it to make a noise maker when you pluck it. Stretching a latex balloon actross it and then pulling it out a bit and letting it snap back would also make a bit of a bull frog noise, too. Would be a great attention-getter.
Pickles 11-19-2008, 02:27 PM A #2 pencil for a school show.
Turn it into a confetti bazooka.
Sassy Frass 11-19-2008, 02:50 PM A giant golf club bag. I think I see a strap on it. Is it hollow?

Artsy 11-19-2008, 07:03 PM Nooooooooo oogie--- kids might think they can do that with the vacuum cleaner at home. Sorry for being a party pooper, but my mom was a nurse in the ER and saw all kinds of strange and frightening accidents. She told me a long time ago that a kid put his mouth over a vacuum cleaner hose and it collapsed his lungs. I forget what she said after that--either he was hooked up to an iron lung machine and died, or he died. Either way, not good.
Artsy 11-19-2008, 07:07 PM Since this object is hollow, perhaps it could be a lunch box and hold a giant foam hot dog. Pickles can carrry a giant pickle in it.
Whispers 11-19-2008, 07:29 PM A BIG string cheese....
oogie 11-19-2008, 07:46 PM Artsy,
Thanks for the heads up.....I would have never in my life had thought of that. Glad you brought it up and educated me. I would never want to do anything that would cause pain to a child of any age....After reading your post I got cold shivers down my spine. It is easy to see things from one point of view but wise to see it from other points of view. What a great place this is and what wisdom is there here. Thanks again.
Oogie

I really like theis idea Dazzle but... it is made very well and because of that it's kinda heavy, I think it would be too awkward for that...
Thanks again for the idea though!

Pickles 11-20-2008, 07:00 AM kids might think they can do that with the vacuum cleaner at home. Sorry for being a party pooper, but my mom was a nurse in the ER and saw all kinds of strange and frightening accidents.
Yeah, we had a vacuum incident at our house when I was a kid. I was probably grumpy about having to run the sweeper, and when my little sister got in my way, I put the thing on her head, pretending to vacuum her up. Well, all that was "vacuumed up" was her hair, which was wound up tightly around the roller and stuck to her 3-year-old head. Not good. Then we couldn't find a screwdriver to take the thing apart and I had to go to the neighbor's house to BORROW one. I remember the horror and embarrassment of explaining to them why I needed a screwdriver. We ended up having to CUT her hair off to detach the vacuum cleaner and she was sporting a bald spot for some time.
So, yeah, vacuums are not a particularly kid-friendly toy.
Sassy Frass 11-20-2008, 07:14 AM My little granddaughters are being taught vacuum saftey (via, new pretend vacuum's for Christmas this year) after these comments....
Prior to which, I had never heard of an incident like this (yes, I live in the real world I had nine brothers and sisters with not one but two vacuum's in our house)!!!
Buggs The Clown 02-26-2009, 07:05 PM Mabye put a giant spring snake in it???
Sassy Frass 02-26-2009, 07:47 PM Great Idea BUT... The spring would be over the top in heaviness...Where would I find a spring that BIG and lightweight...I'd LOVE to SPRING that on some unsuspecting spect-taters! let me know if you know where I can find one!!!
Nevada 02-26-2009, 08:47 PM Eps foam and Green florist foam is what I am experimenting with right now , the density of EPS needs to be high, in order to sculpt using hot wire and sandpaper in order to get design, the problem is cost for block is a little pricey, so finding it in dumpsters in valley… Green florist foam easy to shape and sculpt, but a little too pouris so playing with seals and epoxies then fiberglassing then resins that can color for finishes…… But we made a test and now we are starting to make my clown trailer for motorcycle, and Found out there is a market for these bike trailers out here, but just getting foam from a couple of stores, cemeteries, and funeral homes, I love free stuff
Buggs The Clown 02-26-2009, 09:22 PM Or buy several small ones that all come out at once?!?!?!?!?!?!? Check this out I thought it was really neat! YouTube - LETTERMAN - Spring Snake Symphony (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8-dDcT0xBQ)
Sassy Frass 02-26-2009, 09:47 PM WOHA! THAT takes canned nuts to a whole new level!!! LOL
Pickles 02-27-2009, 12:18 AM This is on a much smaller scale, but that magician on Letterman reminded me of this "Can-O-Wands" I bought from Barry Mitchell. I love this thing.
