Any mechanically inclined clowns who want to add another offering to their (outdoor?) party products:
Make a Spin Art machine (http://www.atomicshrimp.com/st/content/spin_art)

Looks like a fun project. I'd add a plexiglas lid, and while kids could add the paint I'd guess only adults should operate. Could possibly be used on tshirts with some modifications.

I've had spin art as part of my entourage from the beginning of Artsy's life and kids and adults love it. It's a classic.

Hey Just Plain Jello........I've been using salad spinners for my spin art. I can have five of them going, but since it's kind of messy, I warn the parents ahead of time to make sure the kids are wearing old clothes. It's a lot of fun!!!

I use salad spinners too! I find that they work just as nicely (or poorly at times) as other spinart machines, although if I ever get the chance to get one of those super duper high energy ones, that would be cool.
Thanks for the tip gals. I love to build stuff but salad spinners seem a whole lot easier to manage.

Can you use the Salad Spiners to do anything with shirts, or is it relegated to just paper?

It barely makes a nice spin art on paper. It isn't powerful enough to handle the velocity it needs to do a shirt. As my Italian hubby would say...Fuggetaboudit!

Wow a Salad spinner.... How about loading paint into salad shooter, and seeing what would happen?

You have to mess with the paint to make sure it's the right consistancy for spinning........and paper plates are about the only thing you can spin......hmmm......I can see that poor tee shirt in the salad spinner.......oh man.......Now a Salad shooter.......that's a whole different ball game.......sort of like paint ball shooting..........that would really require a LOT of clean up!!! How about a cookie shooter.........nah........or maybe squeeze bottle.

How bout if we put the tshirts ON the little kiddies and whirl them around in the air by the seat of their pants while their PARENTS squirt paint on the shirts?

Just by a Sit and Spin. Kids will spin themselves crazy. (Do they still make those?)
