Do you paint them before you go out somewhere? I went to a restaurant once with my daughter painted as a dalmation and we had so many people commenting on it.
I don't know why I was such a chicken that day (shame on me, I know) but the only response that I could muster to all the comments was that I was practising. No handing out cards or hey I'm a clown... next time.

That is a great idea Perry. Not having kids I never thought about it. However, the next time I pick up my niece or nephew they are going to be in trouble.

Someone on the facepainting forum said that her kids can't go to the toy store without being painted first and I was wondering how many people did that kind of thing. My youngest won't let me paint her (she's got some kind of obsessive-compulsive clean thing going on which I hope she grows out of soon), so it'd just be my oldest that would get painted.
Now I just need to step out of my comfort zone a little and use the opportunity to promote myself more.... maybe I'll take her to the indoor playground like that some time... I've been trying to get them to advertise me with their bday parties but they haven't answered me yet.

Well, a crying dalmation might not be very good publicity...
