Hello fellow clowns! I am “Sparkles” (I know, very un-original, but when your 12, you don’t know any better, then it stuck, can’t change after 18 years!), aka: PremierSparkles. I am pretty excited about stumbling across this forum, didn’t know there was such a cool thing! I can’t wait to learn from other seasoned professionals as well as share some of my knowledge that comes with my 18 years of experience in this art form. I own Premier Clowns Unlimited in SC. I have clowns, face painters and road managers who for me in VA, NC and SC. I work as a “Booking Manager” for them. I started the business about 8 years ago. God has blessed it! I started out in Jr. High school as a clown in Church. Visiting nursing homes as a clown when I was a teenager was not my idea of fun! My mom had to drag me out of bed kicking and screaming! :) :) I was already not very popular! Destined to a geek! Those who made fun of me then, I happened to have a high school reunion a few years ago, are asking how much I charge for their kids b-party and then shocked that this can be a career! The next question is “Are you hiring?” Let me say though, Clowning is therapy for me and will always be way more emotionally rewarding than financially. God made me to be a clown. Sparkles’ character didn’t take long to develop, but when it did she blossomed into something God really uses. I am more comfortable as Sparkles than myself. She is the true me! She is no comedian and that used to haunt her. I would say, I am not funny, I fail as a clown. That was Satan. Sparkles then realized there is a place for a caring, sweat, innocent, encouraging, bubbly, flirty and lovable clown!

I would like that. Columbia has several clowns, all of whom I have had the pleasure of working with. I am very good friends with the lady who owns Fun Time Clowning & Magic. I know she would like another clown friend to!
