Hey guys!!! I was messing around yesterday w/ some oranges and I learned I can juggle two w/ one hand! But, I busted an orange so I ate it... But now I practice w/ two hackysacks... One has most of the beads knocked out of it though so they weight is thrown off... I might buy two new colorful hackysacks for my clowning...

congradulations learning two in one hand after being able to do that moving on to three in two hands should be easy. look at the math 2 vs 1 and then to do three the ratio is 1.5 vs 1 i myself did 2 in one hand before moving onto 3 in 2 hands so when you go to buy the hackysacks buy 3 you'll be glad you did

I think my primary set of juggling balls is actually a set Higgins Brother's Footbags. If the size and weight works out right, that is what matters. Since you are talking about spending money, does that mean you are out of debt finally?

No, it means I can shake some money out of my piggy bank and then hope the puppy dog eyes work...lol
How do the beanbags taste?

Chester, You can also make your own hackysacks at home, here's how:
when I learned to juggle I found that it's best to only practice for no more than 15 minutes at a time. that way it prevents frustration from setting in. because if you've ever noticed this, when u get frustrated, you mess up more and then you get MORE frustratd and it's just a vicious cycle. scarves are excellent to juggle with, as well bean bags.
I learned how to make juggling balls atthe MWCA convention that I just got back from...
here's how:
Materials:
1 1/2 cups rice (uncooked grain)
9 11in. round balloons
1 20oz. soda bottle (empty)
strapping tape
1.) measure 1/2 rice into the bottle (it is helpful to have a funnel for this).
2.) partially inflate one of the balloons and put it over the end of the bottle (opened) so that it is still inflated while attached.
3.)turn the bottle upside down so the rice falls into the balloon. then remove the balloon from the bottle and let the air out.
4.) cut off the little lip of the balloon and with a small peice of stapping tape, tape down the nozzle.
5.) completely cut off the neck of the next balloon and strtch it ovet the balloon with the rice in it (it is best to put the side with the strapping tape in first).
6.) repeat with a 3rd balloon. You can put on as many layers of balloons as you like, the more you put on the firmer the juggling ball gets and the less chance of it bursting or breaking if you drop it. I don't recomend using more that 5 layers though.
now you have ur first juggling ball. repeat for as many as you would like.
this is a great and low-cost way to juggle, they are as heavy as bean bags and won't bounce away on you either. you can change the sizes too. 1/4 od a cup will give you a smaller ball or if ur like me and prefer the larger variety, 2/3 cups of rice may be the way to go.
These are Great because the balloons provide a "grippy" kind of texture to grab onto which even makes them ideal for juggling with gloves on, The latex of the balloons just has so much friction the balls never slip out of your hands, so you will drop them less often (theoretically).
These are the only buggling balls I use anymore, because you can find balloons in the right colors to coordinate the balls to match your costume, and since it's so cost effective, you can make a set to go with every costume you own!

rather than hacky-sacks, just try EGGS...they'll motivate you more to keep from dropping them! :)

Chester,
Congrats on being able to juggle two in one hand. When you are able to do this with both hands, you will be ready to practice juggling 4 balls. It's not much more difficult to do than 3, IMO.

Hm, I found that juggling 2 balls in 1 hand was actually harder than juggling 3 balls in 2 hands. The natural next step is to learn columns. This helps you do a number of cool tricks.
I'm trying to learn 3 balls in 1 hand, which is a painful experience with balls going everywhere.

You could also try two rings in one hand. Good work.............

I have tried rings a few times. I would have to master three rings in two hands before trying two in one hand. Also, I might need a higher ceiling.

I have to wait for warmer weather so I can practice the rings.
Not if you set them on fire!

AC sorry to tell you this but even in warm weather juggling rings outside is not always easy the slightest and i mean slightest wind or breeze will move them off course from were you threw them

Thats half the fun rings. I turn till I find the wind blowing so it dosn't toss them about (thats my job).
I have never landed them in a tree, if I did that would be treemendesley funny!!!!!
