Bam Bam - Hold the fan closed in front of you. Hold it so one end is facing you and the other is away from you. Hold the end towards you firmly and then gently push the top of the end that is away from you to the left. As the fan opens is it in pieces or together? Now close the fan and gently push the top of the same end to the right. Did you notice a difference? One direction and the fan should open correctly, the other direction and it should be "broken."

Now, are you wanter to water and fertilize your sponge balls hoping they will grow into giant spongeball plants? The only time you might want to add water to your sponge balls is when they get dirty and you want to wash them. Then you dunk them in typical dishwater and squish them around a few times and then rinse them a bunch of times to get all the soap out, give them a couple of good squeezes and set aside to dry.

I know what you're talkin' about, BamBam. I have one of those sponge balls that turns into a rabbit, and I always get it wet before I use it--it has a better shape that way. Just do it a couple hours before you're going to use the sponge balls, so they don't get your pockets wet.

so you soak them then squeeze out all the water I was just woried that it would break them down

pickles ir right, spongeballs holds it shape better when "wet". plus it springs out quicker.

some more tips on spongeballs:

-you want them damp or a little moist to the touch but not wet.
-keep them in a ziplock bag.
-keep them away from (magicians) silks or white clothing, they will stain.
-if your'e using different colored spongeballs use them dry or you're gonna end up with sponge marbles (hmmm? sponge marbles...)
-keep a small spritz bottle (with water) with you. for those "uhm... where's the nearest bathroom/sink/glass of water? i need to wet my... uhm..." moments.
-when squeezing out the water from spongeballs, dont squeeze the life out of them. they also tear easily when they're wet. use a towel to protect (the spongeballs) and help absorb the excess water. "you'll say WOW everytime!"
-and the most important thing of all never ever hand wet/damp/moist spongeballs to a volunteer...
