Scruffy 09-01-2005, 04:01 PM Elli, Paul was a favorite of mine. He appeared on a couple of Kelloggs cereal boxes, And a few other places. His pictures can be found in a book called Clowns by John H. Towsen, Page 278. The World of Clowns by George Bishop. Page 36. Check this out.http://clown-ministry.com/History/Paul-Jung.html Paul was a great producing clown. But, I don't believe there are a lot of photos of him (I do hope I am wrong). He actually had a couple of likes in DeMille's The greatest show on earth. I wish I had more info for you. One thing that helps identify paul was his makeu. He was a whiteface with a black mouth. Still a very unusual look among clowns. I will post some more info as I find it. Scruffy ashes 09-01-2005, 04:49 PM Scruffy -- you're a walking encyclopedia!!! Elli, welcome to the clown-forum! Ashes RedClownFred 09-26-2005, 12:13 AM Scruffy does seem to know all!!! Hey Scruffy, you say Paul Jung was on cereal boxes. I seem to recall the old Sugar Smacks boxes (back before they changed the name to Honey Smacks to sound more nutritious) had a white face clown with black lips. I believe he had a funny little hat on too! Was that Paul Jung? Red Clown Fred Scruffy 09-26-2005, 04:44 AM Yepers, Fred. That was Paul Jung. Sadly, he was killed in a Burglary. In New York. Someone robbed his hotel room and murdered him in the process. The crime was never solved. RedClownFred 09-28-2005, 11:32 AM I was not aware of that happening... beyond sad  |
