Fitzwilly 05-03-2009, 05:05 PM Welcome back Silly Lilly. I don't usually do hospitals so I don't have much advice expect to concentrate on just being Silly Lilly.
Sir Toony Van Dukes 05-03-2009, 06:29 PM I haven't done hospitals (yet). What do you want to do? Do you know if your visits will be room to room or a show where everyone comes to you? If you are entertaining the staff, that sounds more like a show, unless it is just wandering the cafeteria... Are you looking for something in particular such as jokes, puns, stories, or magic tricks?
Silly Lilly the clown 05-03-2009, 06:52 PM well, the direction of the hospital want to introduced Silly Lilly to the employees it's not show is more like to say hi play a little with them. Thank u so much for u time...
saphireSue 05-03-2009, 07:27 PM One thing I like to do is offer a free heath screening. I ask for a volunteer. I do this at nursing homes, adult day care and bits and peices of it at the hospital.
Oversized funnel on stethscope, [check their elbows, heads] you do have to be careful about where you touch people], Of course my stuffed cat for cat scans, a large blow up kids hammer - pain killer, stool sample, small stool glued in jar, urine sample, small mirror glued in jar, but you could also put a foam P for P sample. I've got one of those light bulbs you can light up in your hand I use to check ears. I've a pen shaped like an injection needle, to write prescripions. I also carry a special brush for those with arthiritc hands, as it allows for long reach [toilet brush], there other things, but it's been a while since I've done this but hopefully this gives you some ideas. Oh , here every one complains about the food, so the Brown E s go over very well, o-carbs, o-fat, perfect for any diet.
CHOPPER 05-03-2009, 09:48 PM Hi silly.. I would definitely do some food jokes...that will always work in a hospital.. And there is an endless amount of material there..
That way.. You have them laughing at someone else besides themselves. Where you might find somebody with thin skin...reserve that for the patients.....they will be able to let you know about each and every dr. And nurse and nurses aide....
twinklestheclown 05-04-2009, 06:02 PM I love the Tootie tah dance. I find kids and parents love it. I would have silly inexpensive treats like Free B's and Clean X :o)
They work hard so at lunch maybe focus on relief in Being The wonderful clown you are and relax and enjoy.
saphireSue 05-04-2009, 08:22 PM one other thing I like to do, take a foam B glue little eyes on it, and palm it. If there's a lul between activities, go around look high and low under chair, under feet, whistle and call for ___, Do this til you get most of the attention around you then ask if anyone's seen your pet Bee, "don't worry he's trained and he won't sting you, He was supposed to stay in my pocket but he's slipped out", cont. for a bit then find him some where like a plant and ask if they want to see your pet B. Then voila show him off. I do this as a walk around but I don't see why it wouldn't work at a gathering, either.
Silly Lilly the clown 05-04-2009, 10:30 PM I loved the song and my husband could'nt stop laughing... thank so much !!!!!!!!!
