Looks good. Is it sturdy? Don't want it to tip over...

ok it is made of wood and very sturdy as i used a turnbuckle in the middle of the stand and used 3 hooks and eyes to hold the top on it has a piano hinge like i said it was given to me i can take pictures of the back that might answer some questions

ok here is the back of the table it is painted black but i think you can see the hooklocks that holds the top to the base and i know you cansee the turnbuckle that i might have to take out and go from the bottom of that wooden beam for lack of a better term as scruffy might have a shelf for that area if not i might make my own

Ok, so what if you took that bar out of the middle and put a shelf there instead? or put in a couple of shelves? Then you won't have to dig around in a case during your show, it will be nicely laid out ahead of the show, and not all cluttered on top of the table before or during the show.

Hey scoop.. If you are still thinking about adding a shelf.. Those braces that are right there.. Drill small holes in them... One towards the front. One towards the back.. Then have your shelf. Have little dowels that match the holes.. That way they drop into the holes. Lock the table from opening and it sits on those ledges...viola"...

Scoop, does the top of the table hold the sides in place pretty well? If it does, what about resting the shelf on the boards that are horizontal inside the walls? If you lay it on them, and then attach a couple of hinges to one side, on top of the shelf, you would be able to fold the shelf up onto the side, then fold the table shut.

In my opinion you could make a shelf like she stated but hinge it to one side or the other that way it still folds up flat and is self contained. Just a suggestion.
