Hi everyone.

I attempted full face tonight and wanted to see what everyone thought. Attempted a butterfly and dog.

I need to reposition my spots on the dog but thought he came out somewhat ok.

Thanks

i think the butterfly is very manly looking.. :D lol just kidding it looks really good as far as the spots on the dog try making them more blob shaped instead of circular. but i think it looks really good!

The butterflies are great. I was wondering about the circle on the dog's forehead. I think Knute is right, the spots would look better if they were more freeform blobs.

butterfly looks great. With the dog you might leave off the line under the chin and for the spots possibly more uneven shaped.

pretty good overall, same things as people have said, but most kids and parents would be more than pleased with what you have done.

Thanks everyone! I agree about the position and the shape of the circles. I'll make them a little more "blob" like :-) I'm going to try a couple more different faces after i practice these and will show you what i come up with.

Thanks again

Amazing job for a first attempt!!!!!!! Wow, If you are this good already, I can't wait to see your work in a couple of months. How long did these take to paint? What type of paint are you using?

Thanks Gumball! They each took about 5 minutes (give or take). The butterfly took a little bit to figure out but got the hang of it. I am going to use a thinner brush next time so the lines are not so thick. I am using snazaroo.

I think i am going to tackle Spiderman next.

you may even want to try sponges for some full faces, here's one of mine that I did the base with a sponge. The rainbow dayglow cake.

Say sue.. I really like the softness of your blending of the colors on this one. Very very nice....sooooo. You accomplish that with a sponge huh?? Very nice. Thanks for the tip and sharing that technique..

Nice job Sue. I tried to blend but didn't come out that well. I used sponges to do the base. Going to try to blend it a little better next time. We'll see how it comes out.

Knute.. I am ready for him :-)
