I'm a big fan of a book called "Kidbiz" by David Ginn.
I found copies direct from the author on Ebay...
Here's a link to a site that carries it as well:

Hope that helps!

Well my ability to recall book titles is like my ability to recall names... what? Who?????
Libraries often have good selections just check under the subject. That way you can preview without having to buy a lot.
If you can watch children show, Barney, Double Dare[kids], can give you ideas for games. Walmart has some children songs C-d, some songs never go out of date. The hokey pokey will still be played 100 yrs from now.
If you can try to go to a clowning conference, many are weekend and if you don't need hotel room, very affordable, even it it's a ministry one you'll still get a lot of good advice on clowning in general, with small classes on pocket magic, characture development, make up, skit writing, etc.

This might be the least popular of the ideas you get, but sometime try watching some of the kids' shows, especially on Playhouse Disney. I've picked up some interesting things from having to endure those shows while my four-year-old watches them.
JoJo's Circus is interesting for some general stuff, and Lazy Town has a guy on there that I think is an exceptional clown--he wears a maroon, pin-striped costume and has a Jay Leno-like chin. He actually plays a villian, but if you scrutinize his performance a little more closely, you'll see that his techniques for clowning it up are really good. It's just the little things that he does.

That would be Robbie Rotten. :)
When you are watching children's shows, what are you watching for specifically? Physical comedy?
One book that I just finisned is called Seriously Silly
By David Kaye aka Silly Billy
It has a lot of information on entertaining kids and also teaches you how to handle problems that may come up
