Just checking to see if anyone else from Clown Forum is attending the TNT (Fellowship of Christian Clowns) Camp this July in Toccoa, GA? Would love to meet other clown forum members while there!

How close do you live? The reason I am asking is because my Mom lives in Toccoa & I live near Pensacola, FL. I am going to stay with her (if we decide we can afford the $$$) and I emailed Tony & Nikki at Clowning 4 Christ. The price for classes alone is 200.00 & 150.00 for meals for the entire week. The meal money has to be paid by July 15th & the rest can be paid closer to camp time.

I am going to talk to my husband tonight to see about it. The difference in the price is enough that it might help you be able to afford it easier.

Hi everyone (who is going) what track are you guys signed up for & have you attended TNT before?

Oh- and anyone driving from Florida that wants to escort me through Atlanta???? haha... I am so ScArEd!

I have enrolled for the basic clowning 101 track as all i know has been self taught, and i have never been before.

i am goint ot basic clowning 101 also......and you will do great in atlanta as long as you pay attention and go 25 miles over the speed limit!lol cant wait!!!!!!!!11

I don't think that the 25mph will effect me as i am flying all the way from NZ and then catching the bus great to have you in the same track.

Yes I going, hospital and nursing home track, and no I haven't been before and I coming from the other way(north carolina)

I actually considered the hometown track but my clown mentor says I will get the most out of 101 since I am just starting out and I am happy to see that so many of you are taking the same track.

Cluck- how long have you been clowning?

Don't look at years but about 22,23 years but in a clown ministry for 4,5 years.
some of those years was asking question and learning form other clowns, I would see them and go ask questions and if they would anwser great and if not I would move on. Basicly I am a shy person but I may ask and if the other person(clown) is willing and intrested and ask back my shyness may go away

Thank you for setting me straight there.. I almost followed that advice. Although, come to think of it, that would probably be the safest way through Atlanta... 25 mph over the speed limit, you certainly wouldn't get run over ;o)

I'm doing the Clown Ministry Track...I'm coming (along with another clown from my alley) from Indianapolis, IN...I'm getting VERY excited! I've never been to the TNT camp before, but I've been to a regional TNT conference, and have met several of the instructors at that and other conferences....all of the ones I know are FIRST RATE, and I've learned from EACH one of them.....very excited about learning EVEN MORE!!

Everyone else: I had decided to start my drive toward Toccoa on Friday night (24th) after I do balloons at CiCi's, so probably would be leaving around 9 or 10 pm. That way I would be in Atlanta no later than 3 or 4 in the morning. I figured the traffic then would make me less "panicky".

Well, my Mom called today (ummm, I am 37 and have been married almost 20 years so she usually doesn't "tell" me what to do) She said that she wants me to wait and make the drive during daylight hours and that she doesn't think the traffic will be that bad since I would be traveling on a Saturday and not a week day.

What are everyone's general feelings on this???

Oh Kelly. Sorry to hear that. I hope the fact that you are here means it is fixed. I don't know what I am going to do without my computer while I am in Toccoa. We bought a laptop/netbook but my Mom doesn't have internet.

This is our first clown camp. My wife (Penney Nickelsworth) is on the Caring Ministry track and I am on the Performance track. I also teach puppeteering to elementary children (and up) at our church. So, I have a double reason for that.

Question: Has anyone been to camp and wished they had brought something along? What was that item?
