Does anyone use these personal voice amps? I was thinking of getting one and they start out at about 50.00 and would like some thoughts on using them for my clowning.
Also I would like to have a large badge pin made with my name on it. The local print shop is very high. Anyone got any suggestions of where I can have one made reasonable.
Thank you so much

Bubba Sikes has the Honeytone Amp on sale for $45 in the Super Saver section of his website.

I do not own one but I have heard Bubbas. They definitely do the trick. I think I saw Steve Kissell had 'em for sale too at the COAI convention.

Musicians Friend has 'em for $19.95 right now....
Buy Danelectro Honeytone N-10 Guitar Mini Amp | Mini & Headphone Amps | Musician's Friend (http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/-HoneyTone-Amp?sku=481850)
in 3 different colors.

And as far as a nametag goes, Let your creative juices flow and get your pocketbook over to your local craft store or Walmart and buy some craft paint, glitter and fun foam and make your own. You can do so much with fun foam.

Al ot of school athletic teams make them for parents with their kid's photograph's in them. I think they use a tool called badge-a-minit. Do you have any kids in school or know of any coaches or school athletic club members who might help you out. It wouldn't take much to make one yourself. I think they are just paper inserts that fit into the plastic pieces. If that is what you want?

I made mine from small wood pieces at Michael's and craft paint... you can buy little pin backs to put on it when you're done to :D

I tried the craft foam thing first... they look nice, but don't hold up very well long term.

I'd love to get a mini amp also... I find that I'm not singing properly when I'm performing because I"m pushing my voice too loud in order to lead the kids in singing... if I had a little amp, I could sing with proper technique without worrying about being heard. (my voice is only loud enough to fill a room when we get a little too high in the children's range of notes ;) )

the Honey tone is a good, inexpensive little amp. Add an over ear/ headset mike and you will be ready to sing and teach them the motions too!

I just got my Honeytone. Wow, I can't believe just how small it is. Even comes with a belt clip.

I Tell all my magic and clown friends to go to a music store and look into a Peavey.
Don't get one too cheap but in the middle. They have nice stuff that is "Work horse". I have used peavey amps for a P.A. all my music career. (not the instruments) though I do have an E-coustic set up for guitar and vocals. I still use it.

Phil is right on Peavey Equipment. It is good quality stuff. I wasn't aware of them building a clip on type mini amp.

I went to the Peavey website clicked around and couldn't find anything in the way of a clip on mini amp. Maybe I'm not looking in the right vein? Do you have a make and model number or a specific suggestion as to what to look for?
Thanks,
Sara K.

I am not sure on that. You may have to get a separate wireless for it . Check out sure mikes. Just that the amp is much better quality than if you get one with a system built in. If there is a phone number on the peavy site you can call them and ask for nearest dealer and if they have a wireless system. They are very friendly there.
