Goodness knows she looks like she needs it.

Now that is a very peculiar statement Tim, I think it deserves a thank you but I might be wrong.

You see "God save the Queen" is not only a national anthem and a rallying cry, it is also a prayer. It serves its function very well in the first two rolls but in the third, as a prayer, it reveals a huge and gapping hole in theological thinking and faith.

As the head of the Church of England, adhearnts to that religion, pray each Sunday morning, in congregation, to the health of Her Majesty and the rest of the Royal Family. As such, you would expect (if prayers actually worked) the Royal family would be in rude health, never suffering from any form of illness or desease. The fact has been scientifically noted that, the Royal family suffers from exactly the same types of illness's as do us plebs and commoners. Many see this as conclusive proof that either God does not exist or in the very least prayers do not work.

Your statement, Tim, "Goodness knows, she looks like she needs it", confirms what I have long suspected.

So, as an anarchist and atheist, Barry, wouldn't your version of the saying be closer to "Good, Shave the Queen!" ? :D

And as for "proof that there is no God, or that prayers do not work", could it be at least possible that it is proof that "sometimes the answer is 'No', no matter how many people may ask for something." ? Granted, Occam's Razor dictates that your interpretation may be the most "probable" but "probable" doesn't necessarily make it True; after all, in order to prove a negative, one must disprove ALL the possible positives.

Not trying to start a debate though. :)
