Well, I know I wont get any kudos from the real stilt walkers for these, as they are really cheating.

They are dry-walling stilts, and they are so easy to use - I just strapped them on and walked round the house in them! They were dirt-cheap on ebay so I thought "Why not?" - for school fetes and carnivals etc they will be great. I need to make myself some long stripey pants to go over the top of them, but I thought they were a laugh. And at a big family gathering this weekend, my brother, dad and cousins were all fighting to have a go with them!

Oh thats cool then! I thought there might be some stilt snobbery about them, because they are easier than the pin type.

How high are yours? Mine are 18-30" adjustable. Ive got them at about 20" at the moment - I can walk on them at 30" but thought it might be too high for bending down to talk to the kids. And Daisy cant reach up to hold my hand if Im too tall.

Are stilt heights sort of like fish stories? My stilts are set around three feet when you are really only six inches off the ground?

(At least that is what I would like to do when I walk mine.)

I think they are perfectly acceptable... As long as you can't see them. I hope you have a long pair of pants to wear.

Im off to the fabric shop today to buy some stripey material to make some pants. Im thinking of making paper mache shoes to stick to the feet part.
