I have purchased rainbow cakes already cut in the past. I would like to make my own. I have wolfe cakes and would like advise on how to cut and prepare my own. Can anyone help me.

I use paradise, but when mine get low, usually I end up with ring around the edge of the cup, I use a little knife to scrap it out, often it will come as one piece then I just mold it into the the smaller cup I'm using to make the cake, press it into a line then add the next color. Sorry I just haven't cut up any new cakes, I tend to use ones that are getting low.

I have heard that if you warm the knife before cutting it makes things easier.

Youtube has a good tutorial on making rainbow cakes. It comes up if you search rainbow cakes and face painting. I'm sure warming the knife would help. I didn't need to, but I was working with the smaller palettes.
