Hello again my friends, so this is what is going on, this week I will go to the hospital and the hospital staff invited me to go after to a picnic for the volunteer teenagers ending the summer work, so they are around 14 year old and up and the family's welcome too, will be at the park close to the hospital so what can I do for them and also the ask about when the go to meet "Silly Lilly" please help me. I'm terrify with the invitation. Any ideas are welcome and don't forget I'm new clown.. xoxoxoxoxoxooxoxxoxooxoxoxoxxooxxoxoxooxoxxooo

Wow, you're brave. I don't think most clowns want anything to do with teenagers. I wish I knew what to tell you, but I usually deal with kids under ten.

teens are fun! you just have to change your humor style a tad. Sarcasm is a good thing. don't be real mean, but you can tease them a bit about different stuff.. like blonde jokes with girls are good, and some more adult type jokes that are funny to all ages. not just little kids. they may act like they are too cool for clowns at the beginning, but they will warm up to you as long as you treat them like teens and not like 5 year olds lol

that exactly how I feel, clowning to teenagers is another history...but God will be with me...

usually kids that volunteer at the hospital are usually pretty caring kids, and prob. would get a kick out of some of the hospital humor you use, also teens like balloons and since it isn't in the hospital but at a picnic you might be able to do some for them. Make the balloon ball and play ball, with them.

Maybe they would think it is cool to learn how to make some balloon animals... Who knows you might even find a clown hiding inside a teenager...

I'm not sure what your skills are, but teenager go nuts for temporary tattoos(either airbrushed or decals), and even the most rigid and cool teenager loves freebies(have prizes like lip gloss...and finger skate boards)
We do lots of teenage parties:henna, mini extreme sports, karaoke, anime haor styling...lots of fun-
you're gonna be working with a group of teenagers who are helpful-that's half the battle

Maybe you can find several clowns in a teenager. It would be a tiny space you wouldn't expect to find clowns! Of course the teenager would have to be a prop, so look for a rubber, oversized teen that moves funny!

I agree with all these suggestions. Don't do the 5 year old jokes. respect them for their age. They may even ask you about how long it takes to put the make up on or where do you get shoes like that. Teens LOVE balloons. I don't do face painting so I don't know much about that. small pocket magic is good. If they figure it out, and tell you so, look at them real serious and make them promise not to tell anyone else because it took you so long to get it. Love to hear how it turns out for you ..:o

If you can do the side of the face flowers on vines kind of pretty face painting, teen girls LOVE that.

Teen boys are content to have dragons and snakes and other "tough guy" stuff.

I found a group of teen girls who were "scared" of clowns at an event, so I just involved them, I taught them all the emergency broadcast skit and we went around to 3-4 other groups of people and performed it. They weren't scared, they wanted attention, so I showed them a constructive way to get some.

Don't know what your skill at balloons is but the teenagers I saw really liked the buzzing bees balloons-the ones with the small nut inside the bee body. They were super easy to make too. An even easier one someone here told me about was the flying mouse which is just a mouse head and neck that you thread through your index finger and thumb made into a circle. Just pull the uninflated end to stretch and let go so it goes sailing. This goes over good for the younger teens/tweens boys.

Love balloons and their face painted and they Love tatoo's..
Just relax and enjoy them. Most are great kids and they just want to have fun.

Hello friends, sorry for the update late, I didn't had great time at the hospital last time, was only 3 patients and the hospital here is small one, so clowning with teenagers was much better than clowning at the hospital for my big surprise...anyways I got my clown shoes happy face is so beautiful...thanks for everyone help me here ...but I'm not give up that's for sure...lol
