I once came upon a yellow shoe

Yes yellow, not brown or red or blue

It was big and bright

Tall as a kite

One of very few

It was not big or tall at all

But very very small

As tiny as a mouse

Under a yellow house

As pretty as a doll

No no no

It wasn't even yellow

More of an aquamarine fellow

Pretty and shiny

Like a baby's hiney

And it sat under my foot so mellow

It wasn't even pretty

It was too ugly to see

So it sat there blind

and hid behind

A weeping willow tree

No no no

It was not blind

Oh never even mind

Shoes aren't even suppose to see

No no shoe could be

Not of any kind

No no no

It wasn't even a shoe

It wasn't yellow or red or blue

But a human at that

No not a cat

and he got up and said, "adu!"

Might make for a cute children's book if illustrated properly. :)

Oh, btw, I think "adu" is spelled "adieu" . :)
