Hi piccalily,
I've just joined this forum and I'm from down South In Salisbury, Wiltshire. (Near Stonehenge). I've been Clowning for years so if you have any questions you can PM me if you like.
I try an avoid parties as most of my performances are at my Church or for the Childrens club we run on Saturdays. However I have done some parties and I have found that you can get away with just balloon modeling. Especially if you tell stories about the things you are making. Aesops fables are good if you make animals. I have posted a text copy of Aesops fables which can be downloaded at this URL http://truth2tell.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=116#116
If you are putting on a show then it is best to chose a theme and build your skits and gags around that. You will find that shows tend to evolve as you remove the things that do not work so well and replace them with better material.

Hi Piccalily...
Glad to meet you... And welcome aboard...
Like you, I"m new in clowning... It's a pity that we are so far one another... But the good thing is that our clown name have the same initials...
I'm Flavio Emilio Costa (Clown Name: Picaburu), 28 years old from Brazi. I'm starting clowning almost one year, and learnt how do some animal balloons... But I intend to improve it...
Hugs from your far new friend.
