View Full Version : Magic,Baloons or monkeys you decide Scooter_MaGee 03-17-2006, 03:12 PM What kind of things do you all use in your act besides magic and baloons those are great but they can only go so far so then what physical comedy, jokes ,dancing monkey, flying elephant Timmy 03-18-2006, 04:46 AM In addition to the balloons, (which are slowly becoming my bread & butter), I do some juggling, I can do face painting, I also try to do at least a little physical humor no matter what. Jokes are always good too. Hardest part about the jokes though is getting (and remembering) jokes that are age appropriate and the kids will "get". I tried puppets for a while, but it never really worked for me. Now that I am trying to get my "show" going again, I may give it another try. I do find that a few balloons can go a long way (no pun intended), if you really work out little gimmicks and skits with them, in addition to just making sculptures. I also thought ( when appropriate) of trying to work in some animals in some way...... maybe a Jungle safari Clown of some sort...... they see some really neat animals, then get a balloon animal to take home with them. saphireSue 03-18-2006, 07:53 PM I have different acts [shows], If you asking about birthday parties. I like to do face painting first while, gives late comers time to arrive, then a 20-30 min magic-comedy routine, ending with balloon, but this changes related to age, like playing games or music, hokey-pokey, etc. Now if Sally's performing she has a comedic, story telling , some magic and music show, I want to add a pig puppet. [This is a stage show for events etc.] Sue's show includes various skits using 5 jr. joey, with some magic. |
