Great web site. I never thought to look for a clown message board before. Google is the best.

I started clowning in 1984 in the Stillwater, MN parade to help promote my mothers flower shop. I have never stopped since that day.

All my clowning is volunteer. I don't get to clown as much as I would like any more, now that I work so much. Last year I clown about 12 times. I am now a member of the Osman Shrine Clowns and get to help out a couple of circus kits each year. Great fun! I try to get in a few parades as well.

My web site is www.goofie.biz

Welcome to the club Goofie! I'll be your hostess this evening. We have seltzer on tap, a fridge full of pies... just watch out for the whoopie cushion on the couch :)
Great photos; you really look like you're having a blast!

I try.

How old is this site?

Erm, I think it was started in early 2004 if I'm not mistaken... I took the wheel in October 2005. One of our old-timers (I'm sorry! I'm sorry!) could answer for sure :)

Thanks. Once again this is a great idea.

I am going to add a link to it on my web site and tell all the clowns I know. :)

I will be back, I'm going to bed now.

Welcome Goofie!
I've always been a big fan of your movies [Covers Mic]... what? It's not the same Goofy?...WHOOOPS!!! Sorry! Welcome to the Forum.
As far as the age I'm not sure I think I showed up in about October of 2003. That was when I decided to return to clowning actively, and when I went hunting for a forum online. Thought I can't be sure, I think Saphire Sue and I have been here the longest, But Jamz may have been here first. I've slipped on too many Banana peels Since then to be sure.
Anywho, what matters is that you found us! And we are always looking for new people to clown around with. Welcome There's always room for another trunk in our little cyber alley.

Glad you found the forum, and it looks like you have
a wealth of knowledge that you can add to our
humble online alley.

Best wishes!

Thanks.

I have a Clown Alley meeting tonight.

Alley 19
COAI - Any one a member of COAI?

I will ask if everyone know about this web site.

The memberlist does not show alot of clowns from Minnesota, USA.

I saw a couple from New Zealand which is where my mother is from. Very big family over there. The Christchurch area.

I also have a some cousins in Australia and the UK.

This Thursday I will be busy but I will try it another time.

I like the Shrine clowns and the Shrine in whole.

In parades the Shrine can have a number of units. These units work together and make sure to keep good spacing between units. This gives me room to ride my Big Wheeled Bike and do my act with it.

If your local Shrine does a circus that can be fun as well.

Plus every thing we do goes to a great cause, the Shrine Hospitals. If you are unaware these are 100% FREE for kids.

My costumes have been made by Betty Cash since I stopped making them/buying them from the Goodwill back in 1988. Her web site is www.bettycash.com

Hey it's great to meet you. Love you outfit. I don't have an Alley near me

I joined in 2003, but the earliest member on the list is Aug. 2002.

I like Betty's costumes too.

Welcome Goofie!

I'ts great to have you here! I love the pants!! I am a member of COAI also. How long did it take you to learn how to ride that bike. I bought a small unicycle a few months back but have been a little scared to get on it. Last time on it I took a nasty spill. Once again, it's great to have you here!

Hey, Goofy!

I'm a member of the COAI, but not part of any local
alley.

I'm a "Life And Fire Safety" Clown, and we have our own
"Alleys" where we train educators from across the nation.

This "virtual alley" serves as a great motivator and source
of information for me...

The bike is easy to learn. Stopping is a ltlle tough.

It took me a few years to learn to ride a unicycle. I did not have anyone to show me and none of me friends thought it was cool so I didn't bring it out much until I got older.

The best way to learn how to ride a unicycle is lean forward and pedal to catch up. :)

I'm still working on mine, and I have the bruises to show for it! :)

I might actually use it as a prop too, in the back part of my Bug. I have this interesting idea I'm going to try and work up of using the wheel as a pulley device that attaches to several puppets in the car, and has a rope leading to the front seat. When I'm stopped at a light, I'll pull the level to make the puppets dance!

Have to get the BIPS bug street legal first though...
