View Full Version : Goofie behind the wheel - Look out! :)
Goofie 04-04-2006, 08:27 AM After reading the post from bipstheclown about getting a clown car. I got excited about getting a clown car. Every few months for the last year a would look aound to see what was for sale but never really found anything.
So I just looked again after reading his post and found the perfect clown car for me.
I am driving 830 miles to Canada to pick it up. It is street legal but is the smallest car I have ever seen. It is In really good shape.
I'm leaving in a few hours to go get it. I'm try to get back by Wednesday night for the Osman Shrine Circus and drive it around the outside of the building as people show up for the show.
Did I say how excited I am :) I will have pictures as soon as I get back. And I should have circus pictures later this week.
Goofie
P.S. now all I need is a drivers license :)
Awesome, can't wait to see the new ride Goofie!
Mine is coming along although as with anything worth making your own its been a learning experience...

Scruffy 04-05-2006, 04:22 AM Looks great Goofie, You should be able to squeeze at least 12-15 clowns in it.

Goofie 04-06-2006, 05:21 AM I'm back! A very long drive!!! Big thanks to my friend Brian that weht with and did most of the late driving to get me back in time for the circus.
The mini Mini is better then I thought! This thing is crazy!!!
Everything work on it and it has a great stereo/radio/tape player in it.
Pictures of me (fat guy on right after 12 of non-stop driving) and Adam (left) the guy selling me the car. Great guy.

Customs had a great time with me coming back into the US. First they heard I'm bring a CAR into the US and said I have to pay a big import tax. When I told them that it was a CLOWN CAR they smiled and said have a good day and sent me on my way. I did not have to pay a import tax. :)

No sleep as of yet. When I get up in a few hours I'm going to run down to Motor Dept. od Vehicles and try and get plates. Making it street legal in Minnesota. :) It has a title and a ven number so it should work.
Thursday in the first two shows of the circus. Pictures to come. I think we only get to do one skit this year. :(

Willace-the-Clown 04-06-2006, 05:25 AM cool car id try to find one like that but i cant drive a stick

Willace-the-Clown 04-06-2006, 05:29 AM yea i just couldn't get to Sleep been busy makeing things for my Clowning & body hasn't wore down yet
The_Princess_of_Bozonia 04-06-2006, 09:53 AM Woohoo! Very cool of that Customs guy to wave you through. Congratulations Goofie... everybody else, get off the road! :)
Thats really great! I bet the customs guy will tell that story to his frends and family!
Driving stick is something I haven't done myself in 15 years, but I'm finding that it comes back to pretty easy once you start up again!
Goofie 04-06-2006, 11:46 AM I own a old army willy jeep that is a manual stick.
Last year I drove it in a parade (none clown event) and it stalled out and I could not get it started. The jeep, being a manual, was pushed started and off I went. Can't do that with a automatic. :)
Scruffy 04-07-2006, 04:20 AM Looks great! can't wait to see the photos from the circus!
Goofie 04-07-2006, 11:31 PM First day it rained all day and I did not bring out my car.
Today, sun!
WOW! The kids liked it more then I thought they would!! They went crazy over it! I drove around the outside of the circus as the kids were coming in. They love it!!!! Half a block away kids were yelling out for me.
I can't wait to use this is parade. I think i'm going to put "Going Goofie" on both sides.

Willace-the-Clown 04-07-2006, 11:42 PM yea it has a roof but tobad it dont have windows to keep you dry if you get it cot in the rain
The_Princess_of_Bozonia 04-08-2006, 12:19 AM I bet part of the reason the kids loved it was because it's practically kid-sized :) What a great addition to your Shrine Circus!
All I can say is Fabulous!
GiGi :D
Scooter_MaGee 04-13-2006, 02:33 AM Sounds like you had lots of fun with the car but how id things go with the circus and od you have any pictures
