The skit will require "The Holy Bible" magic coloring book. Following is the skit as a clown speaks to the children:

"If we read The Bible too fast, we will not get the full picture". (Fan the pages showing the black outlines.)
"We must take our time and study The Bible so that everything will be more colorful". (Fan the pages showing all the color illustrations.)
"If we do not read it at all, our minds will be blank like this". (Fan the pages showing they are all blank.)
"So do like your parents and read The Bible so you will all get the full picture". (Fan the pages showing all the color illustrations again.)

I like the concept. I'd play it up and extend it a bit. I might even comically say something about the parents then get it wrong, joking that it looks like mom and dad need to spend more time reading the bible, too (maybe with their children.)

I do extend it a bit as you mentioned. But my fingers were a little lazy at 7 in the morning.

When I perform educational magic in schools I talk about doing homework. I always start it off with, "Do you want to know how your teachers got rich? It is because they put education first. They all did their homework....."

I'll bet the teachers start to chuckle when you talk about them getting rich.
